Terms of Service

Last updated: August 11, 2026

The agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and ChannelPulse ("ChannelPulse," "we," "us") governing your use of the ChannelPulse desktop app and channelpulse.us (together, the "Service"). By downloading, installing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

Accounts

You sign in with an email one-time code — there's no password to manage. You're responsible for keeping access to your email secure, since that's how you sign in and recover your account. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. One account is for one person; don't share your account or resell access.

Billing & subscriptions

  1. New accounts get a 7-day Pro trial. No card is required to start the trial, and nothing is charged automatically when it ends — if you don't upgrade, AI features pause and your account continues on the Free plan.
  2. Paid plans (Pro) are billed monthly or annually, at the price shown at checkout, through Stripe. Prices are subject to change with notice.
  3. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time from within the app or the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; we don't provide partial refunds for unused time except where required by law.
  4. If a payment fails, we may suspend Pro features until it's resolved.

Acceptable use

ChannelPulse is a notetaking, transcription, and coaching tool. You agree not to use it to:

  • Violate any law, or any agreement you have with a third party — including an employer's, school's, or interview process's own rules about recording, AI assistance, or academic/professional integrity. It's your responsibility to know and follow those rules; ChannelPulse doesn't police them for you.
  • Record or transcribe anyone without the consent required by law where you are (see "Recording & consent" below).
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell the Service, or use it to build a competing product.
  • Upload content you don't have the right to share, or that's unlawful, infringing, or harmful.
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts.

Your content & our content

You keep ownership of the transcripts, files, and other content you put into the Service ("Your Content"). You grant us a license to process Your Content only to provide and improve the Service (e.g. running it through transcription/AI providers to generate suggestions and scores) — we don't claim ownership of it and don't sell it. Everything else — the ChannelPulse app, website, brand, and underlying technology — is our property or our licensors', and these Terms don't grant you any rights to it beyond using the Service as intended.

AI output isn't guaranteed accurate

Transcripts, suggested replies, scores, and model answers are generated by automated speech-to-text and AI systems and can be incomplete, delayed, or wrong. Use your own judgment — don't rely on ChannelPulse as your only source for anything important, and double-check anything that matters (facts, figures, legal/medical/financial specifics) before acting on it.

Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose (like passing a specific interview or getting a specific job). To the maximum extent permitted by law, ChannelPulse won't be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any outcome of an interview, meeting, or call you use the Service for. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Termination

You can stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, and we'll try to give you notice and a chance to fix it first unless the violation is serious (e.g. abuse, fraud, or a security risk to others).

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which ChannelPulse operates, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. (Placeholder — add your specific state/country and legal entity name here; this is not filled in automatically.)

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the product changes. If we make a material change, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
